Quantum Light Instruments' (QLI's) main product family is the Quantas Series.  This family of lasers offers compact, air-cooled, high-energy, low rep rate, DPSS lasers at the fundamental wavelengths of 1064 and 1053nm, and the standard harmonics through the 5th harmonic (211 and 213nm) with the addition of an external harmonics module. The Quantas series was designed for a wide range of applications that require high peak power pulses.

The Quantas series offers a wide selection of configurations. A couple of examples of the many configuration options include up to 100 mJ, <6ns pulses @ 1053nm wavelength, with 10 or 20 Hz repetition rate for the Quantas Q2HE, or 1mJ, <10ns pulses @ 1064nm wavelength, with 200 Hz repetition rate for the Quantas Q2. The less than 10ns pulse duration allows efficient fundamental wavelength conversion to higher harmonics with the shortest wavelength available being 211 nm. Wavelength conversion into the infrared range, using an OPO, is also possible upon request, and in the case of the Q-TUNE, the OPO allows for a tunable wavelength range from 210nm to 2300nm. QLI employs MOPA (Master Oscillator/Power Amplifier) architecture to produce high pulse energies while maintaining low divergence output. However, their crucial innovation is the TEC based water-free laser crystal cooling technology, combined with laser diode end-pumping. The absence of water results in a compact, user-friendly turnkey laser system that requires minimal maintenance compared to traditional water-cooled lasers that require large chillers and bulky power supplies. This eliminates the risks associated with water cooling and reduces the overall running cost.

 

The Quantas Laser series are available with various options, including motorized attenuation, and a smart harmonics option that allows for hands-free harmonic tuning. However, every year new applications for our products emerge. With those new applications come new requirements for laser specifications and performance. For example, an application may require a reduced laser or electronics footprint, a broader operating temperature range, or higher pulse energies. The list could go on and on. Q-SPARK

Q-SPARK Series

The Q-SPARK series from Quantum Light Instruments Ltd., features a short <1.5 ns pulse with pulse energies up to 10 mJ. Due to the short cavity design, pulse durations of <800ps are achievable with pulse energies up to 5mJ. The innovative water-free laser crystal end-pumping technology produces a Gaussian-like, low divergence, high peak power laser beam in a compact, air-cooled package.

 

Q-TUNE

Q-TUNE Series

The Q-TUNE series is a high energy, compact, tunable wavelength laser consisting of an Optical Parametric Oscillator (OPO) capable of producing a tunable wavelength range of 410-2300 nm with a linewidth narrower than 6 cm-1. Optional second harmonic generator extends the tuning range to 210-410 nm. The combination of a pulse duration shorter than 5ns and an upper repetition rate of 100Hz, makes the Q-TUNE a perfect coherent light source for temporally resolved spectroscopy, metrology, photo-acoustic imaging, and remote sensing applications.

 

Q1

Q1 Series

The Q1 series is a compact, energy-efficient, diode-pumped, air-cooled, Q-switched laser available at 1064 and 1053nm with up to 45 mJ of pulse energy and rep rates up to 50Hz. The high peak powers and low divergence of the Q1 series enable efficient harmonic conversion through the 5th harmonic (213 or 211nm). The innovative laser design has resulted in a user-friendly, turnkey system that requires little maintenance.

 

Q2

Q2 Series

The Q2 series is a versatile, diode pumped, air-cooled, Q-switched laser capable of achieving up to 80mJ of pulse energy with an operational rep rate up to 100Hz. Available at the fundamental wavelengths of 1064 and 1053nm, the innovative water-free laser crystal end-pumping technology produces Gaussian-like, low divergence laser beams with high peak powers, enabling efficient harmonics conversion through the 5th harmonic.

 

Q2HE

Q2HE Series

The Q2HE series, from Quantum Light Instruments Ltd., features an innovative water-free laser crystal cooling technology that enables generation of high quality laser beams with up to 100 mJ pulse energy and/or up to 4 W of average output power. Featuring a pulse duration of less than 7 ns and a low beam divergence, the Q2HE is capable of achieving efficient fundamental wavelength conversion through the 5th harmonics of 213/211 nm.
